The Wondering Women social group will hold their inaugural Bayside walk this Sunday, October 17.
Wondering Women has been a part of the Sutherland Shire since 2016.
Founded by Lisa Tilsed and Adriarn Reynolds, Wondering Women consists of over 900 members who meet regularly for walks and other activities.
"The purpose of the group is for "like minded" women to come together for a walk and talk as we know that walking assists with our Mental Health, taking our mind off everyday stresses that some of us endure,"Bayside Wondering Women member Joyce Campbell said.
"The group also provides other activities that the Women could enjoy, some needing some courage to step outside of their comfort zone like learning to surf," she said.
"A few months ago Lisa and Adriarn made the decision to start "Bayside Wondering Women" and within a week they had 120 members that has now grown to 150 members.
"The day was set for the Bayside Wondering Womens Inaugural walk in June 2021 but unfortunately COVID raised its head again and the walk had to be cancelled."
The Bayside Wondering Women inaugural walk will be held this Sunday.
"The meeting point is Georges River 16ft Sailing Club, Sandringham, we are walking and talking to Brighton Le Sands and return," Joyce said.
"On our return we get to have a coffee and enjoy some relaxing time in the park.
"Apart from the positive mental health benefits, Wondering Women also like to give back to the local community by supporting a local business after or during the walks. Wondering Women have also been very active in supporting local charities and various ways."
Anyone interested in joining the Wondering Women on Sunday 17th October at 8am should head to the group's Facebook page and join, then go to events to confirm their attendance.
The group strictly follows all COVID19 restriction requirements.
