The Melbourne Renegades have survived a late scare to beat Hobart by six wickets in their locked-down WBBL clash at Blundstone Arena.
Australian leg spinner Georgia Wareham starred with the ball as Melbourne restricted the Hurricanes to 121 from 20 overs.
After a late stutter where Melbourne lost three quick wickets, Wareham combined with Indian T20 captain Harmanpreet Kaur to see them home.
Kaur belted 24 from 19 balls, including the game-winning boundary, and Wareham was unbeaten on five as the Renegades scored 4-125 with four balls left.
Hobart's four WBBL games this weekend are going ahead despite the southern Tasmanian snap three-day lockdown, which was announced on Friday afternoon.
The doubleheaders at Blundstone Arena are being played without crowds and under strict biosecurity protocols.
The Sydney Thunder are hosting Adelaide in Saturday's late game, with Sunday featuring Perth v Brisbane and then the Hurricanes hosting the Sydney Sixers.
More than 20 games are scheduled in Tasmania over the next two-and-a-half weeks, in a bid to kickstart the WBBL during the Sydney and Melbourne lockdowns.
After losing the toss and dominating in the field, the Renegades were cruising at 1-90 in the 14th.
But opening bowler Belinda Vakarewa struck twice in three balls, dismissing Jemimah Rodrigues for a game-high 33 and then Courtney Webb for 31.
That ended their 68-run stand and when Eve Jones fell to Amy Smith for four, it was game on at 4-96 after 16 overs.
Kaur, who was lucky to survive an LBW appeal off Nicola Carey, then hit a six off the same bowler in the second-last over to ease the pressure.
Wareham bowled three wides in her first over, but she quickly made a big impact.
She snared 3-13 from four overs, including the wickets of opener Ruth Johnston for 20 and No.3 Mignon Du Preez for five.
New Melbourne captain Sophie Molineux took 2-12 with her orthodox spin, while Naomi Stalenberg top-scored with 28 from 27 balls.
Vakarewa was the pick of the Hobart attack with 2-21 from four overs.
