The Cronulla Surfing Academy annual Surfing Santa's day went off with a bang this week with about 100 of Santa's little helpers getting into the surfing spirit at North Cronulla Beach.
The big man himself also took to the small waves before heading back north to get all his work done.
Academy owner Blake Johnston said through the board hire donations of $800 and an additional $500 donated by CSA a total of $1300 was donated to Project Youth.
"It was an epic morning hanging down the beach with our incredible community. This money will make Christmas extra special for kids doing it tough in our neighbourhood," he said.
Project youth supports young people who face disadvantage including homelessness, mental health issues, trauma, drug and alcohol dependence, abuse, neglect and unemployment.
This money will make Christmas extra special and will be used for gift vouchers, presents and food hampers for young people who aren't as fortunate as others.
"Thanks so much to our awesome local community sharing the festive spirit for a great cause.
"We are lucky to call Cronulla home," Mr Johnston said.
