Former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama have touched down in Sydney ahead of the president's Australian speaking tour.

Obama is in Australia for a series of speaking engagements including a night at Aware Super Theatre, behind Sydney's Darling harbour, on Tuesday March 28.
Melbourne will get "An Evening with President Obama" at the John Cain Arena on Wednesday, March 29.
But he also caught up with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on March 27.
The former US president is set to inspire with a speech about the future of leadership, event's organisers Growth Faculty said. He will also cover his time in office and the work of the Obama Foundation.
Former Deputy Leader and Chancellor of Australian National University Julie Bishop will join Obama onstage for a moderated discussion about strength in leadership and techniques for navigating an unpredictable future, Growth Faculty said.
Tickets to "An Evening with President Obama" are fetching between $195 and $895. A premium ticket includes walking on the red carpet, front section seating, cocktails, canapes and a copy of Obama's book.
