A driver has died following a single-vehicle crash at South Hurstville.
About 9.30pm Tuesday, April 2 emergency services responded to reports of that a SUV had left the roadway and crashed into a wall on King Georges Road, South Hurstville.
A passenger in the SUV - a 75-year-old woman - died at the scene.
The 86-year-old male driver was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition.
Police have been told he died in hospital earlier today (Wednesday 4 April 2024).
Officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit provided specialist officers at the scene, with officers attached to St George Police Area Command investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
EARLIER:
A woman, 75, died at the scene after an SUV in which she was a passenger left the road and crashed into a wall on King Georges Road, South Hurstville about 9.30pm last night.
The 86-year-old male driver was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition.
A crime scene was established and officers from St George Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
