Last week saw the bloodiest days yet in Syria's uprising against President Bashar al-Assad. More than 60 people were killed by security forces and on Saturday 100,000 took to the streets to voice their anger. Images of a 13-year-old boy, brutally tortured and killed, have galvanised the protesters. Harriet Alexander traces the story of Hamza al-Khatib, the child who has become the face of the revolution.
