ST GEORGE-Sutherland Women's Cricket Club got back into the groove on the weekend after a holiday break.
The Slayers third grade team were too strong for Universities Blue on Saturday at Gifford Park, Penshurst.
The T20 game saw Universities Blue bat first and make 74.
The Slayers reeled in the total, making 4-89.
Lisa Maurice took 3-1 with her medium-fast outswingers.
With the bat Alana Gillett made 35 not out and Lisa McIntyre was unbeaten on 30. Both players in were in complete command in their unbeaten innings.
Gillett and McIntyre steered the Slayers home to victory with their steadfast batting.
The Slayers do not play again until January 31 because of the Australia Day long weekend.
The Sydney Women's Cricket Competition is playing T20 games at this stage of the season.
The Slayers have sides in first, second and third grades and have several state and Australian players, including Renee Farrell. The all-rounder played for Australia in the recent one-day series, including two matches at Hurstville Oval.
