Five new cases of COVID-19 among Sutherland Shire residents have been diagnosed in the last week.
The latest NSW Health data for local government areas shows the shire has 28 cases, of which 10 have an unknown source.
A tally of postcode figures puts the number at 27 cases.
The biggest cluster is in the Sylvania area (postcode 2224) where two more active cases have taken the total to 10.
There have been two new cases in the Caringbah postcode area and one in the Cronulla area.
NSW Health's Dr Jeremy McNulty said late last week Sutherland Shire was among parts of Sydney "we are particularly concerned for people to come forward for testing if they have even the mildest of symptoms".
