All beaches and pools are dangerous. Parents must supervise children. Put signs up but you cannot close off a beach.

After Rockdale Council has spent well over $100,000 of ratepayers' money extending the poorly located Dolls Point baths, the state government has only allocated $150,000 to assist with dredging, leaving a shortfall of over $400,000 to make the baths useful.
Would it not have been more sensible to have waited to see what the state government was going to offer by way of assistance before going ahead with the now pointless extension?
It's another example of PR trying to appease vocal minority interest groups over sound financial management.
The money would have been better spent on educating people to teach their children to swim and learn-to-swim classes.
